Did you know Crewe is home to the world’s leading ice cream van manufacturer, a historic Lyceum Theatre and a growing community of independent businesses?

We’ve been right at the heart of telling those stories through our work with Crewe BID and its flagship brand, Discover Crewe.

Crewe BID is a five-year Business Improvement District, created and funded by local businesses to make the town a better place to live, work and visit. It focuses on the areas of Crewe town centre, Nantwich Road and Grand Junction Retail Park, working with partners to attract investment, improve safety and support growth.

After a competitive tender process, we were appointed to lead the BID’s marketing and communications and to launch its first public-facing brand. With our experience of working on other BIDs, we knew how to create an identity that could bring people together and help the town tell its story with confidence.

We developed the Discover Crewe brand and introduced it with the Say Hello to Crewe campaign, inviting people to reconnect with the town and celebrate its character. The campaign gained momentum quickly, with businesses, residents and community groups all getting behind it.

Since then, engagement has continued to grow. Online reach has passed 200,000 people, and more than 2,000 followers joined the Discover Crewe community within the first nine weeks. The brand has been featured across local, regional and national media, helping to shift perceptions and put Crewe firmly back on the map. Events such as Discover Crewe on Sea drew more than 1,500 visitors, adding to a busy first year that has seen collaboration, confidence and civic pride all start to build.

Discover Crewe is now recognised as a brand that brings the town together and champions the people and places that make it special. It joins our growing portfolio of BID projects, alongside Blackpool Town Centre BID, Blackpool Tourism BID and Warrington BID, each focused on strengthening identity and driving engagement for the areas they represent.

Crewe’s story is only just beginning, and we’re proud to be part of helping it take shape.
