Festive spirit is spreading across Loughborough as Here Self Storage marks the Christmas season with a mix of community and sustainable activity.

Since opening its doors last year, the Regent Place Retail Park store has aimed to do more than provide storage space, with sustainability and community involvement built into the way it operates. This Christmas, the team is part of the national Christmas Shoebox Appeal and inviting residents and businesses to donate filled boxes to help bring joy to children in need around the world.

Branch Manager Nathan Wayne said: “We’ve had a wonderful response from families, schools and local businesses who want to play their part. The appeal is such a thoughtful idea that captures the generosity of the season. You can sense the kindness as people drop off their boxes, knowing they’ll brighten someone else’s day.

“When we opened, our aim was to create a business that felt genuinely connected to the town. We plant a tree for every move-in and run a small library space where people can borrow or donate books. These small gestures have helped us build meaningful relationships and contribute in a practical way to the community around us.”

Alongside the Shoebox Appeal, the Loughborough team are running a 12 Days of Christmas giveaway on social media from December 13th to 24th, with prizes including a £50 Fortnum & Mason hamper.

Mark van Adrichem, CEO of Engage Management Services, said: “Here Self Storage was founded on the idea of keeping things local and purposeful. The Loughborough team has shown how a business can make a positive contribution to its area while keeping sustainability at its heart.

“They’ve created a place that feels open and welcoming, and it’s great to see so many people getting involved in something that brings real benefit to others.”
